Highstone Housing Association (HHA) is a registered provider of social housing operating across Yorkshire, providing both supported and general needs accommodation. Our aim is to provide high quality accommodation and housing management services which offers those with additional needs the opportunity to live independently in their communities and helps them to fulfil their support and housing goals.
As our WBSC, you will be responsible for supporting and co-ordinating the delivery of works and building safety activities across HHA's property portfolio. You will work closely with our residents and contractors to ensure that HHA delivers excellent, resident focused services at all times. Role Purpose
The Works & Building Safety Co-ordinator (WBSC) will support and co-ordinate the delivery of our works and building safety activities which will include but will not be limited to: repairs, maintenance, compliance, major works, void works, repairs and maintenance. You will ensure that staff and contractors meet their health and safety responsibilities and will actively promote HHA's safety-first culture ensuring safe working practices are adhered to.
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering repairs, maintenance, works and compliance services for a housing provider in the private or social sectors and will have a good understanding of customer service and contractor management. The WBSC will be comfortable working in a fast paced, performance driven environment and will be able to use their exceptional organisational skills to balance priorities. The postholder will carry out surveys, audits and post works inspections and will be capable of preparing works orders and specifications for contractors.
Our WBSC will confidently communicate with our residents, staff and contractors and will be proficient at using housing IT systems. You will also understand how to collect, store and use data related to your areas of responsibility.
You will work closely with colleagues across HHA and our contractors to ensure that our residents consistently receive an outstanding service. The post holder will be subject to a DBS check and must hold a full driving licence with access to their own vehicle. The role will be primarily office based but with regular travel to our properties. It will be possible for the successful applicant to work at home on occasion but this will be subject to satisfactory performance and business needs.
