Group Contract Manager

Overview:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate full end to end contract management process control, working across multiple levels and business units, and will work closely with AAG UK's purchasing team. Some collaboration will also be required with the AAG European purchasing team. The role will include consolidation and further development of processes for issuing and managing the negotiation and signature of AAG UK purchasing and related contracts, and maintaining and developing AAG UK's purchasing contract database. There will also be involvement in other project-based work, which will include reviewing existing processes and may include product or supplier requirements. The ability to be methodical, accurate and a good understanding of legal frameworks will be essential. A primary focus will be developing strong relationships with internal staff to ensure smooth delivery of job functions. The position will report to the AAG UK Legal Counsel.

Job Function:

  • Contract Management
  • Supporting AAG UK's purchasing team in contract negotiations
  • Maintaining and developing processes for contract approval and ensuring compliance with AAG requirements.
  • Contract database management and development
  • Support to Line Manager and the AAG UK purchasing team on special projects

Responsibilities:

  • Full end to end Contract Management cycle and process (includes Global and European)
  • Contract notification management & template updates
  • Co-ordination of contracts across the wider group - Identifying and applying best practices/processes
  • Review and introduction of processes reflecting AAG compliance requirements and best practice
  • Maintenance of Databases i.e., SharePoint
  • Creation of new Databases to support AAG's business requirements
  • Customer portal updates
  • Supervision of a contract administrator

Deliverables:

  • Application and management of all UK purchasing contract processes
  • Maintenance and development of contract databases to support AAG's business requirements
  • Delivery of special projects in line with agreed requirements

Relations:

  • Collaboration across all company functions and staff
  • Working with suppliers

Personal Requirements:

  • Knowledge of process control
  • Understanding of legal frameworks
  • MS Office experience essential
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of DocuSign would be helpful but is not essential
