A leading high-quality refurbishment and fit-out company based in Greater London is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor. With over 40 years of experience, this national construction company specialises in interior refurbishment for the retail, hospitality, and commercial sectors.
The Quantity Surveyor's role
The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost control, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), cost management, cost planning, and cost reporting. Working closely with the project teams, the Quantity Surveyor will ensure efficient cost management and provide accurate financial information throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
The Quantity Surveyor
- Strong skills in cost control, cost management, and cost reporting
- Experience in creating and managing BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
- Knowledge of cost planning and budgeting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
- Commercial experience in the construction industry is essential (local authority, healthcare, leisure, retail, hospitality)
