Pure are supporting a well established and growing leader in the communications sector who work within various different industries. they're looking for a Purchasing Assistant to join their team!

Location:

Chelmsford outksirts (must live within easy commuting distance)

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break) - 35 hour week

Salary:

£23,000.00 - £26,000.00 per year

Job Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide strong administration and organizational support to the Purchasing Manager.
  • Stock Monitoring: Monitor stock levels and report findings to the Purchase Manager.
  • Office Consumables: Maintain and order office consumables such as stationery, loo rolls, and paper.
  • Systems Updating: Update internal systems with relevant purchasing information.
  • Data Logging: Log historical data accurately.
  • Ticketing Process Management: Manage and order tickets for events and processes.
  • Supplier Support: Support the ordering process with suppliers and resolve purchase orders and invoice queries.
  • Order Query Resolution: Investigate and resolve ordering queries to conclusion.
  • Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with internal departments and suppliers.
  • Supplier Due Diligence: Conduct new supplier due diligence checks and applications.
  • Stock Comparisons: Compare supplier stock levels and quality.
  • IT Proficiency: Utilize Excel and Microsoft Office efficiently.
  • Forward-Thinking: Exhibit a forward-thinking attitude with a can-do approach.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to the Business Development Executives (BDEs) and manage the team in the absence of the Group Sales Manager.
  • Customer Communication: Act as a trusted relationship builder between the company and customers, facilitating effective communication.
  • Trend Analysis: Provide advice to the company about industry trends and target market insights.
  • Product Advocacy: Help customers understand the benefits of new products and services.
  • Sales Support: Sell company-specific services by demonstrating their business improvement benefits.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years working in purchasing position or similar
  • Administration Skills: Strong administrative and organisational abilities.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Accuracy: High attention to detail and accuracy in tasks.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent relationship-building skills with internal departments and suppliers.
  • Commuting: Must have your own car due to lack of public transport to the office.
