A leading global infrastructure organisation is seeking a H&S Assurance Manager to oversee HSE compliance on a major construction project in Essex. This is a pivotal role ensuring contractors and consultants meet stringent health and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and assure contractor and consultant H&S plans and performance
- Conduct daily and weekly site inspections, focusing on high-risk activities
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting and corrective actions
- Maintain and monitor risk registers and emergency preparedness protocols
- Support onboarding, training, and cultural development around H&S
- Evaluate H&S elements in tender submissions and contractor onboarding
Requirements:
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE qualification; project management credentials desirable
- Proven experience managing H&S on large-scale construction projects
- Strong knowledge of construction operations in logistics or terminal environments
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Valid UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
