Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our established finance team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in maintaining our back-of-house systems and ensuring the smooth operation of our purchase and sales ledgers.
Day to day of the role:
- Serve as the first point of contact for client enquiries via email or telephone.
- Prioritise and enter purchase invoices into in-house system
- Process accounts data to ensure KPI compliance and timely invoice processing.
- Match purchase orders with jobs and supplier invoices.
- Manage invoice requests flow following engineering visits.
- Update and maintain back-of-house systems with accuracy and precision.
- Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, resolving conflicts and addressing concerns.
- Perform transactional reconciliations and maintain purchase & sales ledger.
- Liaise with the service team and other colleagues for operational support.
- Maintain contractor ledger and follow up on outstanding job sheets and invoices.
- Resolve queries on purchase invoices through coordination with internal teams and external suppliers/contractors.
- Undertake ad-hoc administrative duties as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in data entry.
- Strong IT skills
- Experience in handling purchase and sales ledgers is preferred.
