Transformation Lead
- Day Rate: PAYE £800 / LTD UMB £1055.84

We are seeking a Transformation Lead to spearhead the council's transformation agenda. This role involves leading a programme of organisational transformation aimed at achieving the council's future operating model and securing medium-term financial savings. The Transformation Lead will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering change programmes across the council and interfacing with external partners for system-wide transformations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of change programmes tailored to meet the council's strategic objectives.
- Engage actively in service-led transformational change, ensuring alignment with overall goals.
- Commission and oversee suppliers to support complex change and transformation initiatives.
- Manage resources, teams, budgets, and timelines effectively to ensure successful programme execution.
- Communicate updates and outcomes to stakeholders across the council, including presentations in public committees.
- Ensure robust programme governance, maintain arrangements for benefits realisation, and promote a ‘whole council' understanding of corporate and service change programmes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading transformation projects within public sector or similar settings.
- Strong ability to manage complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with a variety of internal and external parties.
- Proficient in designing and implementing effective change management strategies.
- Solid understanding of financial management in relation to project budgets and cost control.
- Ability to ensure accountability and effective governance in programme delivery.
