Job Purpose:

The role holder, reporting directly to the Finance and Business Manager will be responsible for undertaking financial and reporting tasks relating to the management and control of its accounts, They will also ensure that exceptionally high levels of internal customer service are always maintained, whilst delivering on specified targets, and supporting the achievement of the Company's objectives and work plans.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation is maintained in the appropriate record systems, both manually and electronically.
  • Support the preparation and auditing of accounts to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist with month end reporting activities and ensure accurate KPI reporting is delivered as required.
  • Ensure data is captured to inform performance reporting and support preparing monthly and year end reports.
  • Ensure invoicing, billing and payroll activities including timesheets and agency records is undertaken and completed accurately to deadlines.
  • Monitor bank accounts and matching payments for reconciliation purposes, flagging anomalies in a timely manner.
  • Undertake reconciliation of credit card statements.
  • Undertake credit control activities as directed by senior managers.
  • Regularly review and maintain financial policies and procedures in conjunction and agreement with the F&B Manager to support efficient working in the office.
  • Map the processes and develop process guides for financial activities in support of ISO accreditation, identifying gaps and proposing processes to eliminate them.
  • Ensure appropriate records and systems are maintained for the effective and compliant operation of the finance team. Ensure procedures and best practice are followed to ensure audit compliance and ISO accreditations are maintained.
  • Maintain excellent standards of organisation and housekeeping in the office including any storage areas.

Essential

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English

Experience:

  • Clerical and financial experience to have worked through several month and year end cycles
  • Use of MS office software packages (excel and outlook)
  • Dealing with internal and external customers, and suppliers both face to face and via telephone or email

Technical:

  • Knowledge of be-spoke databases and software systems
  • Advanced knowledge of excel and spreadsheet manipulation.
  • Knowledge of computer based accounting systems, preferably Xero.

Skills:

  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • IT literate including Microsoft Office suite and business systems

General:

  • Ability to use initiative and work unsupervised
  • Flexible working approach
  • Drive and enthusiasm
