Job Specification: M&E Estimator

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced M&E Estimator to join our team in Liverpool. This role is crucial for our operations in the Energy & Infrastructure sector, focusing on key projects with values ranging from £50K to £20 million. Our main client is BT, providing service delivery to end users. The position will involve both competitive tenders and frameworks, working closely with established pre-construction and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Tender Preparation:
Lead the preparation and submission of tenders for projects ranging from £50K to £20 million.
Work on tenders with durations between 2-12 weeks, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Collaborate with pre-construction and commercial teams to ensure comprehensive and competitive tender proposals.
Cost Estimation:
Provide accurate cost estimates for M&E projects, focusing on energy and infrastructure.
Prepare detailed cost plans and budgets for projects valued between £5 million and £8 million.
Utilize your expertise in PV, solar panels, wind turbines, and chargeable batteries to inform cost estimations.
Client Engagement:
Work primarily with end users, ensuring their requirements are met effectively.
Maintain strong relationships with key clients, including BT and NHS, to understand their needs and expectations.
Engage with demanding clients, particularly in the NHS sector, to deliver high-quality service and results.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Collaborate with the pre-construction and commercial teams to develop comprehensive tender packages.
Ensure alignment with company strategies and client requirements.
Attend meetings with clients and project stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on tender progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as an M&E Estimator, specifically in the Energy & Infrastructure sector.
Strong understanding of M&E systems, particularly PV, solar panels, wind turbines, and chargeable batteries.
Experience working on projects with values between £50K and £20 million.
Ability to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Experience working with end users, particularly in high-demand sectors such as healthcare (NHS).
Strong collaborative skills to work effectively with pre-construction and commercial teams.
Local candidates preferred due to the importance of locality for this role.
