IT Workstream Lead

Rate: £550 to £600 per day - Inside IR35 via Umbrella

Initial 6 Months

Location: Hybrid/Remote working - 1 day per week onsite in Warwickshire

Our leading financial services client is recruiting for an accomplished and proactive, Midlands based IT Workstream Lead/Project Manager for an initial 6 month contract, to join a thriving team based in Warwickshire.

This role is to work on a very large and exciting transformation program of work, and the primary focus will be to lead and plan IT deliverables for the projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

The position will be to ensure that IT can provide a clear owner for IT deliverable/s, and a successful delivery to meet business requirements and IT Service standards.

This job will be working in a regulated environment and we are looking for someone with tenacity, but who is equally driven and can deliver results.

Deliverables

  • Deliverable 1: You'll lead, plan, track, and report on IT projects/work-stream activities, following IT best practices, Delivery Governance, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Framework ensuring stakeholders, dependencies, cost, quality, and time are managed within agreed parameters.
  • Deliverable 2: You'll agree, measure, and implement IT project milestones, engaging with IT Service Owners, Change Managers and Project Managers to ensure project deliverables meet agreed IT Service Delivery Standards. You'll also be responsible for anticipating, monitoring, managing, and reporting on IT issues and risks in line with their Risk Policy and IT Delivery Processes.
  • Deliverable 3: You'll keep risks visible and resolve or mitigate them to protect project deliverables and maintain agreed quality standards.
  • Deliverable 4: You'll lead and motivate IT project/delivery teams in conjunction with Project Managers and IT Service Owners, evaluating and providing feedback on the performance of IT work-stream teams and individuals to promote employee development and maximize their contribution to business objectives.
  • Deliverable 5: Work with the Project Manager in planning and co-ordination of the IT delivery teams to support in the implementation of the Bridge+ Customer Data Cache, including the testing and go-live cut-over.
  • Deliverable 6: Work with the Project Manager in planning and co-ordination of the IT delivery teams to support the changes needed to deliver the Financial Service split which is a key dependency for the program + Customer Data Cache and for FS project go-live.

Skills/Experience

  • Strong IT/Software development background
  • Experience of leading, planning, tracking and reporting on IT Projects/Workstream activities in line with IT best practice, Delivery Governance and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Financial Services/Insurance sector experience
  • Experience of leading and planning IT deliverables for projects and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to ensure that IT can provide a clear owner for IT deliverable/s, and a successful delivery to meet business requirements and IT Service standards
  • Measuring and implementing IT Project milestones engaging with IT Service Owners, Release Managers and Project Managers
  • Deliver to agreed time, cost and quality measures
  • Lead and motivate IT Project / Delivery teams, in conjunction with Project Manager and IT Service Owner
  • Monitor, manage and report on IT issues and risks
  • Ability to take ownership, take responsibility and be a good communicator and work to best practice
  • You will be able to work across multiple workstreams simultaneously and will be a strong people person
  • Experience of working in a regulatory environment as well as having a strong IT understanding is essential
