Are you a passionate Humanities teacher who believes in the power of education to transform lives? We are seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our Milton Keynes SEN Secondary School, helping students engage with history, geography, and cultural studies in a supportive and understanding environment.

About the Role:
As our Humanities Teacher, you will deliver engaging and accessible lessons across subjects such as history, geography, and social studies, tailored to the diverse needs of our students. You will inspire curiosity and encourage students to explore the world and their place within it, while providing the individualized support they need to succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver a dynamic Humanities curriculum that accommodates a range of learning needs and abilities.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment where every student is valued and supported.
  • Differentiate instruction to ensure that all students can access the curriculum effectively, providing additional support where needed.
  • Collaborate with support staff and other teachers to create individual learning plans (ILPs) that align with students' unique educational goals.
  • Track and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and materials to ensure each student can reach their full potential.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, working together to support students' academic and social development.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a background in teaching Humanities subjects.
  • Experience working with SEN students, ideally in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy, with a commitment to understanding each student's unique learning journey.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching, ensuring all students feel engaged and motivated.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the school's mission of creating a nurturing, inclusive educational environment.
