Skills Required:
- Proficiency in haematology
- Experience in blood transfusion processes and techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in laboratory work
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety protocols and procedures
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of haematological and blood transfusion laboratory tests and analyses.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of results, adhering to quality control standards.
- Participate in the validation and implementation of new laboratory techniques and procedures.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, ensuring they are calibrated and in good working order.
- Provide support and guidance to junior staff and contribute to the training and development of colleagues.
- Assist in the management and inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents.
- Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
