Production Support Engineer

£30,000 per annum basic

Acorn by Synergie is working with a long standing client that are seeking a Production Support Engineer to join their growing Production team.

The successful candidate will support all areas in Production Manufacturing to ensure the product goes out to the customer correctly and on time, use strategic initiatives as guidance to improve quality systems within the manufacturing department and support manufacturing in the resolution of quality related issues including supplier product quality issue resolution whilst providing input to the New Product Introduction process to establish quality plans.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to interact and communicate effectively with company executives as well as technical and support personnel.
  • Ability to compose reports and provide effective correspondence.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Working knowledge of all process procedures.
  • Effective analytical skills and the ability to logically break down complex situations into tasks to drive corrective actions.
  • Statistical background with ability to perform quantitative/ qualitative analysis and work effectively in a matrix's environment.
  • Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets and electronic office tools.
  • Ability to follow all applicable Business Management System (BMS) processes.
  • Know and follow established company core values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Manufacturing processes with process mapping, eliminating the wastes.
  • The maintenance of existing products to ensure that manufacturing and sales of those products may be sustained.
  • Provide Engineering Support to Production Team with regards to equipment (Inc. Printers, Labels, Solder Irons, torque screwdrivers).
  • Manage Incoming and Outgoing quality requirements.
  • Support product build documentation and keep relevant records and updates.
  • Work closely with Technical Engineering Design team to support and enhance product development.
  • Support of the NPI (New Product Introduction) including Feasibility Reports.
  • Support of all issue/problem within the manufacturing processes using QOS (Quality Operation Systems) - NCR (Non-Conformance Reports).
