Job Description:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of SCCM/WSUS Design SME to join the Modern Workplace Solution Implementation team of a leading global consultancy firm. The client is focused on a major transformation program of their IT estate. The candidate will need to work with Key stakeholders to help solution the Modern Workplace transformation stream.
An ideal candidate will have the ability to produce design documentation artefacts including high level designs, low level designs, installation and operation guides as well as technical notes and knowledge base documentation within medium to large scale Software Distribution solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Prototyping server and desktop builds with SCCM
- Using Configuration Management systems for software updates and configuration data retrieval
- Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills up to 4th line level
- Understanding of network protocols and associated technologies (e.g., AD, GPOs, SSL, IIS, WDS)
- Experience with both physical and virtual environments
- Virtual infrastructure administration (templates, clones, virtual disks)
- PowerShell scripting
- ITIL practices and processes awareness
