Role Overview:

We are looking for an IT Teacher at an all boys school who will play a crucial role in shaping pupils understanding of technology and its applications. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in Information Technology, ensuring that pupils develop both practical skills and critical thinking abilities. Your role will also involve creating a stimulating classroom environment, assessing pupil progress and working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the IT curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality IT lessons to boys aged 11 to 16.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methods and resources to engage and challenge pupils.
  • Assess and monitor pupils progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages pupils participation and enthusiasm for IT.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate IT into other subject areas and support cross-curricular projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in technology and educational best practices, incorporating these into your teaching approach.

Requirements:

  • QTS and a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 6 months experience working in a UK Primary/Secondary School.
  • Enhance ChildworkforceDBS (desirable).
  • Proven experience teaching IT to students in the 11-16 age range, ideally in a secondary school setting.
