Sanctuary Personnel are looking for a Labourer to work with Camden council. This is a full-time position, and we are paying £15.57 Paye and £19.25 Umbrella per hour for this role.

The role:

To carry out labouring, driving, and cleaning duties on housing, public buildings and other premises either owned or managed by the Council in accordance with best trade practice and to current standards and regulations. To assist craft workers (trades) carrying out repairs and maintenance work ranging from emergency and other routine reactive repairs on numerous sites daily to single site programmed repairs and refurbishment work in occupied and void properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out general labouring tasks and duties as directed.

Undertake driving duties including multiple deliveries and collections, loading, and unloading of large and bulky building materials, parcels, and refuse.

Collect goods, materials & equipment from stores and / or external suppliers and deliver to trade staff working remotely as part of the "Ring & Bring" service to

support delivery of repairs Right First Time. Ensure all documentation (for example goods received notes) are retained and returned for the proper control and

administration of the store's facility

Provide hands-on assistance and support to craft workers (all trades) in carrying out their duties including wet trades and drainage / jetting engineers.

Maintain, clear and clean workshops, sites, offices, and other buildings ensuring compliance with the health and safety regulations.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Qualifications: GCSEs A-C or equivalent including at least English and Maths.

Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.

  • Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
  • Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
  • Hours: 36 hours p/w.
