Join a fast-paced, customer-focused IT services team as a Senior Support Engineer, supporting and maintaining modern IT infrastructures across a broad client base. This role involves troubleshooting complex issues, managing escalations, and working with a wide range of technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd line support and resolve escalated technical issues across servers, networks, cloud, and desktop environments
- Maintain infrastructure: AD, Exchange, firewalls, backup systems, virtualisation platforms (Hyper-V, VMware)
- Ensure SLAs are met and deliver outstanding customer service via phone, email, and remote support
- Accurately document support activities and update client systems
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors to manage escalations and resolve issues
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven 3rd line IT support experience in a managed services or enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune, and Active Directory
- Virtualisation: VMware (vSphere, ESXi), Hyper-V
- Backup technologies: Veeam, Commvault
- Solid networking skills: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, firewall config (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Meraki etc.)
- Scripting experience (PowerShell); knowledge of SQL, Linux, and MacOS a plus
- Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
- Relevant IT certifications are an advantage (e.g. Microsoft, VMware, Cisco)
