There is a great opportunity to get involved in a local Newbury Primary School, they are recruiting a Classroom Teaching Assistant for September 2024.
- Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm term time only. 40 weeks per year
- Salary from £18,000 - £21,600 depending on experience and qualification.
- Daily Commute required to Newbury RG14
- This role is term time only, no weekend or evening work.
- September 2024 start
What the Classroom Teaching Assistant involves:
- Support the Newbury students in their KS1 & KS2 curriculum.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Create and encourage a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Be able to adapt teaching styles, to suit the individual student. Essential when in 1:1 settings.
- Collaborate with the West Berkshire teachers, therapists, and other specialists to provide holistic support.
- Responsible to monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
- Be a reliable member of the Teaching Assistant team to offer emotional and behavioural support to the Newbury West Berkshire students when required.
