The specialist school want to welcome a recent graduate to their support staff team in the new academic year to support their students with learning disabilities and complex needs throughout their school career. With access to bespoke teaching materials and purpose built facilities and equipment, the successful candidate will receive a better understanding of children's development.

- Learning Disability Assistant
The responsibilities of a Learning Disability Assistant will include helping pupils maintain their focus on tasks, adapting learning material to students' individual needs and aiming to improve student's motivation towards learning. By joining the school's support staff, you will receive full training and guidance from on-site professionals such as occupational therapists, educational psychologists and experienced teachers. This guidance and interactive experience will provide the successful Learning Disability Assistant with a better understanding of specialist education and the careers that supporting students with additional needs can lead to. The students at this school need a candidate that is educated and can take the initiative to help them achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have received a 2:1 in a relevant degree or have relevant experience working with young people on a professional or family/friends basis.
