Our client, based in Ilminster, is looking for an experienced Optical Technician to join their team. As an Optical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by setting up machinery, processes, and equipment to produce high-quality optics. Your attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures will be essential in ensuring the products meet the highest standards of quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up machinery, processes, and equipment to manufacture optics according to specifications
- Follow written procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in the manufacturing process
- Inspect and clean optics to meet quality standards
- Use good manual handling skills to handle delicate parts and components
- Troubleshoot issues and problem solve to ensure smooth production
- Focus on achieving results and meeting targets to contribute to the success of our company
Requirements:
- A strong understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
- Ability to follow written procedures and maintain attention to detail
- Good manual handling skills and ability to work with delicate components
- Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn and adapt to changing processes and technology
What We Offer:
- x1.5 overtime after 39 hours, x2 overtime for Sundays / Bank holidays
