ROLE – Senior Chemical Engineer
SALARY - £35,000- £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
TYPE – Permanent
LOCATION – Gloucestershire
My client designs and manufactures specialist equipment for process industries. They are looking for a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join their team in Gloucestershire on a permanent basis.
The Senior Chemical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- At least 3 years' relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Design skills with the ability to design new processes
- Ideally be Degree qualified in a Chemical discipline
- Knowledge of pipes, hoses, valves, pumps and similar fluid equipment would be beneficial
- Strong Project Management skills
- Understands 2D and 3D CAD
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to take a leadership role and motivate others
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Responsibilities include:
- Solving problems and improving engineering processes
- Being involved in designing, implementing and overseeing project plans
- Liaising with other departments to manage such projects
- Ensuring quality and H&S standards are met
- Running trials and experiments in an R&D environment
- Design equipment layouts
- Maintaining technical documentation as required
- Keeping up to date with reports and developments in inorganic chemistry
- Pushing for constant progression for product development and manufacturing techniques
