Cyber Security Operations Analyst Apprentice

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing daily alerts in the SIEM to identify actual and emerging security events, and

system or infrastructure vulnerabilities.

  • Addressing real security incidents using threat intelligence to evaluate attacks, identify

the root cause of attacks, implement counteractions and restore system operations.

  • Carry out security audits and assessments of the client's infrastructure and applications
  • Develop monthly security assessment reports and develop actionable security

improvement plans

  • Utilise security technology alongside code or scripting to ensure that the estate

is constantly developing and improving.

  • Utilise tools such as: Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft XDR, Microsoft O365, Power BI, Threat Intelligence and Threat Modelling, Threat Detections and KQL.
  • Work with clients across the globe and across multiple different industries.

Desirable Skills:

  • Have outstanding computer literacy skills.
  • Process and detail orientated
  • Excellent customer services.
  • A min of 1 year workplace experience within a technical job role (1st/2nd line support)
  • Be working a level 2, GCSE grade c or 4 and above in English and Maths

Entry Requirements:

  • An A-Level in ICT
  • OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
  • OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
