We are seeking an English Teacher to join our dedicated team at an Independent SEN School. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate educator to make a significant impact on the lives of students with SEND. You will be part of a small specialist team, working in a therapeutic setting to deliver the highest quality education and support.

**Day-to-day of the role:

  • Teach, assess, and support students within a small classroom setting, with approximately 10 students per class across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Facilitate engaging and tailored educational activities that cater to the individual needs and academic abilities of each student.
  • Supervise and collaborate with support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, parents/carers, students, and external agencies.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school's mission.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification preferred; unqualified teachers willing to gain the necessary qualifications are also welcome to apply.
  • Experience working with SEND students in a therapeutic or educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the English curriculum and the ability to create differentiated learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students, staff, and parents.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a proactive approach to learning new systems and practices.
