IT Engineer
Location - Herne Bay
Salary - £24,000 - £30,000 - DOE
Permanent
Hours - Monday-Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm
We have an incredible opportunity to work for an innovative IT and Telecommunications managed service provider based in East Kent, who specialise in serving small to medium-sized businesses as well as health and education providers.
They are committed to continuous improvement, offering ongoing training for all team members to stay ahead in the fast-paced tech industry.
Responsibilities
- Work on customer sites as a Field Engineer and provide office-based support as a Helpdesk Engineer.
- Support client devices (laptops, desktops, personal devices) in server and cloud environments.
- Deliver cyber security services to client devices using the latest assets and protocols.
- Assist clients on-site and remotely using the latest RMM, PSA, and security tools, and provide support for business messaging systems.
- Diagnose and maintain systems, servers, cloud applications, firewalls, switches, routers, and troubleshoot various Windows OS, Mac, and client software applications, including Office 365 administration.

Requirements
- Ideally , hold a UK Driving License
- Ideally, 2 years of experience in the IT industry
- Industry qualifications from Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, or equivalent
- Strong ability to work to deadlines in an organised and efficient manner
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to and react positively to varying situations
- All candidates will be subject to DBS and pre-employment checks
