MERITUS are recruiting for a Manufacturing Project Manager to join our client in the Defence & Space industry on an initial 12 month contract to work on exciting new programmes.
MANUFACTURING PROJECT MANAGER - INSIDE IR35 - £33 PER HOUR - BPSS (THEN UNDERGO SC) - 12 MONTHS - STEVENAGE - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS
Role Responsibilities:
- Support Programme Managers and the Manufacturing Management Team in defining, planning, directing, and executing manufacturing projects and contracts to achieve business plan targets with strict adherence to cost control and schedules.
- Manage stakeholder interfaces, including internal customers, ensuring accurate reporting of project performance across all aspects. Plan, facilitate, and provide essential support for the success of large-scale contracts throughout their entire product life cycle.
- Develop and maintain crucial relationships with internal customers and key subcontractors. Ensure precise reporting of project progress across all performance metrics and interpret requirements effectively for manufacturing teams.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining contract risk and opportunity plans and budgets. Communicate consolidated project and programme requirements to multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely deliveries. Play a pivotal role in tendering and bidding activities aimed at securing future business.
Role Requirements:
- Experienced Project Manager with a proven track record in successfully delivering fixed-cost programmes of significant value within a matrix organisation. Preferably, experience in an engineering or production environment.
- Natural communicator adept at building strong relationships, with a track record of leading multifunctional teams and delivering results within tight timelines.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and tenacious individual capable of prioritising and understanding strategic business needs while managing day-to-day tactical decisions. Experience applying project management skills at an assistant level within a relevant business environment.
