This role is full-time, working 37 hours per week.
Day to day of the role
- Teaching practical and theory sessions in Brickwork and related Construction areas, teaching across a range of topics, as agreed with the Heads of Department.
- Tutoring and pastoral support for students, showing sensitivity to their needs and encouraging the highest possible standards.
- Taking part in recruitment activities and being able to offer information, advice and guidance to those looking to follow a Construction career path or an associated subject area.
Required skills and qualifications
- 5 years professional experience in the Construction industry.
- Bricklaying qualification at Level 2 (e.g. Craft Certificate or NVQ L2).
- If you do not possess a recognised Teaching Qualification, you will be required to gain this qualification within your first two years of service (with the assistance of the College).
