We are looking for a Finance Team Leader to have overall responsibility for the day-to-day financial processes of an SME Food Company in Kettering. You will work cross-functionally to deliver precise management information that supports budgeting, financial planning, and process enhancement and will report directly to the Director.
Daily duties will include:
- Overall responsibility for the Finance team
- Overseeing and maintaining accurate and timely financial records, including but not limited to – general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and payroll
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Reconcile bank accounts and control accounts
- Assist with year-end closing alongside the Director
- Monitor daily cash flow and ensure availability of funds for operational needs
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Provide financial insights and reports to assist with strategic business decisions
Experience required:
- AAT qualified or part-qualified in ACCA or CIMA
- Previous experience within Accounting and Finance and supervising a small team, preferably within a SME business
- Proficient with Xero and Excel
- Strong knowledge of UK Accounting Principles and Financial Regulations
