Reed HR have exclusively partnered with a leading client in Gatwick, who is on the lookout for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to lead their well-established Employee Relations team.
In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of managing the Employee Relations function. Your responsibilities will include developing and mentoring the existing team, overseeing caseloads, investigating ER issues, and overseeing various projects. You will also play a key role in reviewing and interpreting policies, delivering ER training, and supporting various employee-related programmes.
As the Employee Relations Manager, you will be instrumental in setting up robust ER processes, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring alignment with global standards.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and manage the Employee Relations team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality case management.
- Oversee the handling of complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances, and appeals.
- Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date with current laws and best practices.
- Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on employee relations issues, promoting fair and consistent treatment across the organisation.
- Monitor trends in employee behaviour and recommend strategies to improve employee engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with HR and legal departments to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Lead training sessions for managers and staff on employee relations topics and changes in employment legislation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Employee Relations Manager or similar role.
- Strong understanding of employment law and best practices in employee relations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to handle complex and sensitive cases with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of staff.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to create and implement effective policies.
