Service Leader - Kinship, Adoption & Fostering
to join their team based in Hampshire.

PAY RATE: £450 per day

JOB SUMMARY
As Service Leader for Kinship, Adoption & Fostering Recruitment you will work closely with the Service Leader for Foster Care Support & Placements Team, providing support and cover for each other when necessary
JOB DESCRIPTION
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
- The Children's Adoption team which has responsibility for working alongside the child's social worker where there is a plan for adoption; and post placement order supporting the child to live with prospective adopters through to adoption order
- The Kinship team who work alongside the child's social worker assessing kinship carers, as well as providing Special Guardianship support
- The Fostering Recruitment team who work alongside marketing to promote fostering, and then assessment prospective foster carers
- Lead a service of team leaders, social workers, and other staff
- Meet and work within the agency deadlines and timescales to ensure the efficient running of the service
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will have the following skills and competencies:
- Have a recognised professional qualification in social work (Social Work Diploma/Degree/MSc or equivalent) and be registered with Social Work England
- Have substantial post qualification experience in social work with children and families. This should include management experience at least at a team leader/manager level
- Contribute to the process of staff development through coaching and mentoring
- Have experience in kinship care, fostering and adoption
