Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer (1st & 2nd Line) - Private Equity Firm, Knightsbridge

We are a prestigious private equity firm based in Knightsbridge, seeking a skilled and dynamic Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. This is an exciting opportunity for a service-oriented professional to deliver a white glove support experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will provide both 1st and 2nd line technical support, ensuring seamless IT operations and exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will be a clear and confident communicator, delivering superior customer service to our team. You will manage a variety of devices, applications, and IT systems to ensure the smooth running of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1st and 2nd line support to users across the firm, including VIPs and senior leadership.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring white glove treatment in all interactions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365 applications, desktop/laptop hardware, and peripherals.
  • Manage endpoints using Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) and Autopilot.
  • Administer Active Directory, managing users, groups, and security settings.
  • Provide onsite and remote support for Microsoft Teams Room systems.
  • Support iOS and MacOS devices as needed.
  • Maintain and configure networking systems, including VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Document support incidents and solutions using IT service management tools and ticketing systems.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows 10/11 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and experience with the Microsoft 365 Admin Centre.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) for device management and enrolment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 security features, including multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams Room systems (onsite and remote).
  • Proficiency in iOS and MacOS support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
