Business Development / Trade Sales Executive - About The Role

This is a dynamic Business Development / Trade Sales Executive position, built to drive new business and re-engage with lapsed trade accounts. The role involves high levels of outbound telephone calling, prospecting, and building relationships with both pre-existing and brand-new clients. The position offers clear career progression, with the opportunity to inherit a larger customer base and increase earnings after six months. Key responsibilities include meeting sales targets, managing client accounts, and using CRM tools. Candidates should have proven sales experience, strong communication skills, and a positive, ambitious attitude.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Meet and exceed sales growth targets
  • Contact prospective trade clients who have not traded with this company before
  • Use social media to connect with potential customers and develop a prospect list
  • Visit potential new clients that fit the target profile
  • Contact non-spending previous trade clients to re-introduce the products and services (this will require a high volume of outbound telephone calls)
  • Account manage warm contacts that become customers by conducting monthly outbound calls and discussing action points with the objective of maximising satisfaction and sales revenue
  • Manage pricing and sample requirements for customers
  • Log all calls and future tasks on company CRM

The successful Business Development / Trade Sales Executive will have/be:
