Responsibilities of the Financial Controller
As a Financial Controller, your role will be instrumental in shaping the financial trajectory of the organisation. You will be entrusted with formulating financial management strategies, ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations, and overseeing accounting processes. Your meticulous attention to detail will be crucial in evaluating cost-reduction strategies and reporting on the company's finances. Moreover, you'll have the opportunity to work in tandem with company directors on long-term strategic business plans, establishing relationships with key external stakeholders.
- Formulate financial management strategies to manage and mitigate risk
- Collaborate closely with company directors to optimise profits and make pivotal strategic decisions
- Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations
- Report on the current and projected finances of the company as well as factors influencing company performance
- Oversee accounting processes
- Evaluate cost-reduction strategies
- Work in tandem with the company directors on formulating long term strategic business plans
- Establish relationships with auditors, bankers and other statutory organisations
What the successful candidate will bring
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW) with 4-5 years PQE
- Demonstrated management experience and an ability to mentor and develop their teams
- Exceptional eye for detail
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a team
- Superior communication skills
