Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business in Leeds who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their small team. This is a full-time and permanent position. They are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and is looking for a hands-on role. This role has the potential to become ‘your own' if you are happy to get stuck in.
Location: Leeds
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000
Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Payroll journals
- Maintain fixed asset register
- VAT returns
- Oversight of the financial transactions of the business
- Efficient operation of the accounts function
- Liaise with other branches, customers and suppliers
- Support the Finance Director on company initiatives
You will need to demonstrate:
- Qualified through experience
- AAT qualified or working towards ACCA/CIMA (desirable)
- Enthusiastic about delivering high quality, accurate output
- Good time keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative
- A keen eye for detail
- Excel skills
