Referral Advisor

Work with key external and internal stakeholders and partners, whom you will identify, engage with, influence and ultimately recruit onto programme, eligible 19+ learners, to undertake our (ASF) education and skills programmes.

1 Outreach and Partnership Engagement:

  • Actively identify beneficial outreach and co-location opportunities with partner organisations to drive engagement.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of professionals, agencies and partners.
  • Develop effective working relationships with a range of external agencies to provide individuals with opportunities to achieve their education/training and/or employment goals.
  • Represent Maximus professionally at sector events, external meetings and seminars, as required.

2 Professional Relationships:

  • Maintain professional relationships with learners, partners and other colleagues, with particular attention to safeguarding, confidentiality and maintenance of professional boundaries.

3 Caseload (Performance) Management:

  • Use MIS (inc. ILR) data to track learner enrolment volumes and address any trends towards shortfalls via increased engagement activities, open days, presentations at referral organisation/s etc.

4 Supporting Learners:

  • Provide effective IAG to engaged individuals. Conduct initial engagement meetings with referrals to build rapport and interest in the AEB programs. Work closely with and advise the learner (and where appropriate, employer/s) on the most appropriate route and level of learning.
  • Assess learners' basic skills levels and needs using their CVs, screeners, assessments, and diagnostics tools alongside their prior experience/attainment and aspirations.
  • Developing robust Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) with learners detailing e.g. career aspirations, any additional support required and SMART targets
  • Carry out learner enrolments onto suitable programme/s (inc. induction/s) so that targeted enrolment volumes are met each month and ensure a smooth handover of learners to their nominated Trainer.

5 Program Development:

  • Develop collaborative working relationships with local referral organisations (and where appropriate, employers) to generate training programs to support learners into employment or undertake training/progress in-work.

6 Contractual Compliance:

  • Ensure contractual compliance by accurate data entry, record keeping and completion of relevant project documentation.

7 Continuous Improvement:

  • Track/measure outcomes via learner, employer and stakeholder feedback/surveys informing continuous improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 2 in Functional Skills English and Maths
  • FE/Employability sector experience
  • FE / HE / Skills / Employability knowledge
  • IT literate
  • IAG at level 2 or above (desirable).
