Purchase Ledger Clerk - Bournemouth - £26,000

Purchase Ledger Clerk required for our client based in Central Bournemouth. The client is an established, highly successful international business, offering 4 days in the office, 1 day at home after probation with parking paid for.

You must love Purchase Ledger and have a minimum of 2 years' experience in this role, it is very busy job with a high volume of transactions, and you will be in charge of the payment runs. This role would suit someone who is looking for stability and longevity in the same role.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be working as part of a small team and have responsibility for:

  • recording all purchase orders and invoices from suppliers
  • ensure correct approval, coding and matching of invoices
  • management of the ledgers and reconciliation of supplier accounts
  • dealing with supplier queries
  • assisting with month end close
  • assisting with inter-company reconciliations
  • liaising with internal and external contacts as necessary
  • processing payments to suppliers

Qualifications and experience

  • you will need to have previous experience in accounts payable transactions, minimum 3 years
  • experience of multiple finance software packages, SAP B1 desirable
  • proficient in Excel (pivot tables/v-lookups)
  • ability to multi-task
  • team player
  • high level of attention to detail due to the complexity of the role
