Hays Senior Finance are working exclusively with this business based in Telford to recruit a Finance Director for them.
Your new role
Reporting to the Managing Director, this Finance Director role will be integral to supporting the business with its future growth aspirations. This is a hands-on role that will sit as part of the board. You will help develop future strategies of the business as well as drive strategic growth and help shape the future plans of the company.
You will lead the finance team, and you will have full responsibility for the financial management as well as compliance and control of the business. The job is varied and will involve:
- Managing a small finance team
- Overseeing all financial activities in the company
- Managing all reporting, budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounting; including audit, tax and compliance
- Develop and implement financial targets/ strategies to support the growth of the business
- Improve all financial operations and processes
- Overseeing all-month end routines and ensuring management accounts are produced accurately and on time.
- Providing guidance, coaching and development to the finance team as well as ensuring there is a collaborative culture across the team
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would be a hands-on accountant who would ideally be fully qualified, or equivalent, and have experience of managing the finance function.
