IT Technician (First Line)
An established private school is seeking a dedicated First Line IT Technician to provide high-quality, customer-focused technical support. In this role, you will work closely with staff and students, addressing a range of IT issues to ensure smooth daily operations. You will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting, resolving technical queries, and maintaining school IT systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues (PCs, laptops, printers, etc.)
- Perform basic network troubleshooting (Wi-Fi connectivity, LAN issues)
- Support Windows operating systems and common applications (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Install and configure software and updates
- Ensure basic security protocols (antivirus, firewalls, user permissions)
- Manage user accounts and passwords (Active Directory, email systems)
- Assist with cloud-based services and backups
- Troubleshoot and maintain AV equipment (projectors, interactive whiteboards)
- Set up and maintain network cabling (patching, routers, switches)
Salary: £22,000 - £25,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, term time only (on-site).
