Finance Manager Role - Key Responsibilities

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Take charge of monthly management accounts and board reports.
  • Present financial insights at monthly Board meetings.
  • Continuously review and refine forecast reports to support business growth.
  • Collaborate with department teams to ensure accurate financial forecasting.
  • Manage monthly accruals, prepayments, and key accounting entries.
  • Lead the development of KPI reporting for business success.

Compliance and Regulatory

  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Keep the company compliant with all tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee year-end accounts, liaising with external accountants for smooth auditing processes.

Budgeting & Strategic Planning

  • Own the payroll process and manage payroll payments.
  • Set annual budgets and monitor them for alignment with financial goals.
  • Drive financial strategy to support company expansion.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to mitigate risks and optimise growth opportunities.

Risk Management

  • Proactively identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with regulatory changes.

Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Innovate and implement improvements in financial processes.
