My client is looking to recruit an Inspection Supervisor for their precision engineering business located in Bath.
The company has been established a number of years and supply various industries including Aerospace, Automotive and Power Generation.
Within the role of Inspection Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and supporting the Inspection team on a daily basis, whilst also supporting the Chief Inspector in the daily operation of the department.
The main responsibilities within the role of Inspection Supervisor will be:
- Review the work to lists within the Inspection area.
- Ensure that the correct responsibilities are carried out by the qualified/trained team members.
- Conduct 121's with the Inspection team
- Liaise with customers, host visits and do audits where required.
- Look at methods to improve the inspection process.
- Report faults with machines and equipment to maintenance and production manager
- Identify any training needs for your team members and share your knowledge with them or organise training as appropriate
- Attend inhouse production meetings.
- Lead or participate in teams that investigate, determine and implement corrective actions to resolve the root cause of non-conformance in products, processes or systems
The skills/experience required:
- Previous experience within a supervisory role.
- Experienced in a general engineering/manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of the regulations relating to factory plant and services
- Experience involving the coordination of people and resources
- Experienced in a general engineering/manufacturing environment.
