Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Housing Multi-Trader to join a large social housing contractor. As a Social Housing Multi-Trader, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks in social housing properties. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our tenants by addressing their maintenance needs promptly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of maintenance and repair tasks in social housing properties, including but not limited to:
- Plumbing repairs
- Electrical repairs
- Carpentry work
- Painting and decorating
- Tiling
- Flooring repairs
- Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and address issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough inspections to assess the scope of work required.
- Ensure all work is carried out to a high standard and complies with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and hours worked.
- Collaborate with other team members and contractors as needed.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Qualification either NVQ or City and Guilds in either trade
- Proven experience in a similar multi-trade role, preferably in social housing maintenance.
- Proficiency in various trades, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and decorating.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Relevant trade certifications or licenses (if applicable).
