Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Acquisition: Prospecting for new clients, building relationships, and closing deals.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Managing the entire sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation.
  • Market Analysis: Conducting market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Scientific Communication: Effectively communicating the value of our drug discovery services to potential clients.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams to ensure successful project execution.

Founded in 2001, Domainex is an award-winning, independent drug discovery service company based near Cambridge UK serving pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic and patient foundation groups globally. We are a fast-growing and profitable organisation, seeking to appoint a Business Development representative based in the UK to support our strategic objective to build on our client base in the country.

The Person

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in business development or sales within scientific services, ideally in integrated drug discovery.
  • Understands the small molecule drug discovery process.
  • Possesses a strong network in the biotechnology and pharma sectors, particularly in Greater Boston and other US life science hubs.
  • Holds at least a Bachelor's degree in a chemistry or biology discipline.
  • Is a self-starter, capable of working independently.
  • Can build relationships and influence decision-makers effectively.
  • Is motivated to achieve results and close deals.
  • Is willing to travel regularly, both within the UK and internationally.
