This incredible, modern and forward-thinking firm are now seeking a Bookkeeper/Semi Senior Accountant to join their expanding team in their Bury office.
This opportunity is for someone who is eager to develop and looking to grow within an established firm and build on their skills through working with a diverse client base.
What will your day look day as a Bookkeeper/Semi Senior Accountant?
Accounts/management accounts
- Preparation of FRS102a and FRS105 year-end accounts
- Management accounts preparation
- Draft corporation tax computations
- Knowledge of personal tax returns would be an advantage.
Outsourcing duties
- Bookkeeping, inclusive of monthly reconciliations/monthly journals.
- Assisting clients with payments runs, credit control etc.
- Experienced with cloud-based software. Mainly Xero, say 75% Xero, 20% sage, 5% QuickBooks.
- Comfortable with setting up bank feeds.
- Can offer support and training to clients
- VAT returns and submissions
- Experience with CIS clients
- Able to assist clients with software switch, i.e. from sage to Xero
Skills and experience required;
- Digitally minded - i.e., has an understanding and interest in the use of staying on top of new trends to deliver an excellent service to clients
- Efficient and organized to ensure timely delivery
- Effective relationship builder both with clients and wider team
- Eager and ambitious to learn new skills
- Software knowledge of Xero and Sage
- Studying towards AAT Level 4 or recently AAT qualified
