Commercial and Public Procurement Solicitor

This leading law firm with an award-winning team in Newcastle are renowned for their exceptional service and thriving public sector client base.

They also serve a growing number of private sector clients providing services to the public sector and have high aspirations for the team and seek candidates who share their vision and drive for success.

They are seeking a commercial and public procurement solicitor at NQ to 5 years PQE to join the successful team. The ideal candidate will support the business plan by delivering prompt, first-class services to their public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on major projects across national offices, encompassing the full range of commercial and procurement work.
  • Advise on the structure and processes for public procurements under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the Procurement Act 2023, and the Provider Selection Regulations 2023.
  • Draft and negotiate procurement documents and commercial contracts.
  • Provide commercial, solutions-based risk advice.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives and marketing activities.

Role Specifics:

  • Progress, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts in sectors including health, central and local government, and utilities.
  • Prepare and manage contracts and documents for large-scale projects within procurement law.
