Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working in partnership with a locally established, nationally recognised manufacturing organisation based in Angus to support in their upcoming requirement for an Assistant Accountant on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. This role is being offered on a full time basis to an individual who is interested in securing a longer term contract, with the potential to stay on with the organisation following this period, at an Assistant Accountant level.
Your new role
In your new role, you will positively support in carrying out the daily transactional finance tasks that are required to be completed at a local level from invoice processing and payment runs; through to supporting with month end reporting and providing financial commentary for internal and external stakeholders. You will be the main point of contact for daily, weekly and monthly accounts payable and receivables actions as well as confidently managing office related queries on a daily basis.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will be an experienced finance professional who is comfortable working in a small team environment that requires you to be a self-starter, adaptable and confidently able to deal with all types of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. You will be someone who can work independently on transactional finance tasks, demonstrating an ability to work to strict deadlines with accuracy in invoice processing, journal postings, bank reconciliations and payment runs.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be offered a competitive base salary of up to £32,000 per annum and the opportunity to take on a longer term contract position to positively support a local manufacturing organisation that are leaders in their industry. You will secure a 12 month fixed term contract, full time and based in the local Angus office; working with a small but collaborative team.
