From our energetic Business Development Team who create opportunities, to our incredible Account Managers who build & strengthen relationships with Global Brands, the Sales team are the face of our business and our biggest ambassadors!

We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active and results driven individual to join as an Account Manager for the UK Sales, Marketing & Innovation (SMI) Division. This a key position within the business requiring ambitious, customer focused individuals to come and be part of the North Sales team!

Working across the wider Sales team in the North, you will play an integral part in achieving our ambitious growth aspiration. This is a truly hybrid role with equal time seeking new business opportunities as well as managing growing existing accounts, so demonstrated experience in both business development & account management would be required.

As a strong sales professional and a natural 'people-person', you will thrive on networking with existing and potential customers to bring in new business across the organisation whilst developing the relationships and value in our existing accounts. Your experience within B2B sales in packaging or allied industries, especially in the Scotland area, will aid you in building strong working relations across various customers and categories.

This role collaborates with other internal partners such as marketing, sales, finance, supply chain and innovation - so strong interpersonal and internal relationship building skills will also be needed. To be successful in this role, you will be commercially astute and be confident of providing long/medium term account strategies as well reviewing actions to deliver profitability.

You will be home-based but there is a strong focus on travelling to meet customers and teams at our sites around Scotland.

About you

  • Proven success, knowledge, and experience in sales role (packaging experience desirable)
  • A full driving license
  • A natural team player, with a positive and energetic style
  • Highly resourceful and collaborative team-player with strong people skills and possesses the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders
  • Confident negotiation, communication, organisational and leadership skills
  • Strong commercial orientation and a solid level of business acumen
  • A strategic and forward thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes ideas and solutions
  • A strong ability to work independently & remotely with travel as needed
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, PPT)

Location: This is a full time, home-based role with travel to sites in Scotland and North England and other customer sites as required
