A tremendously exciting opportunity for an experienced mixed tax professional to join one of the most prestigious and prominent firms of accountants based in North Kent.
This opportunity will allow you to showcase your advisory skills across a broad selection of tax disciplines whilst working closely with clients and Partners and providing support and advice to junior members of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaising and corresponding with HMRC regarding clearance applications, enquiries, etc.
- Drafting reports and letters of advice for various tax advisory issues
- Preparing calculations to support advice
- Liaising with clients and attending meetings with other team members
- Training and reviewing the work of more junior members of staff
- Providing support to Directors and Partners in the Tax team
Examples of Work:
- Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs such as EIS/SEIS, staff incentive schemes
- Advising owner-managed businesses regarding remuneration planning, succession planning
- Preparation of research & development (R&D) claims, VAT returns, SDLT returns
- Advising individuals regarding IHT planning and CGT mitigation
Requirements
- CTA qualified or ACA/ACCA qualified
- Experience with corporate taxes is essential; experience in other areas of tax is beneficial
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good IT skills
- Excellent teamwork and organisational skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
