SEND Teaching Assistant

A well-established mainstream secondary school in Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team for the remainder of the academic year.
**Key Responsibilities:
- Providing tailored support for students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Working with small groups or 1:1 to support learning and development.
- Supporting students' social, emotional, and academic progress.
- Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to ensure holistic student support.
- Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment.
**Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or educational setting.
- Experience with SEND students is essential.
- A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
