Quality Engineer

£41,000 - £43,000 - 26 days holiday + bank holidays
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer with experience working within the Automotive Industry. This is an additional role to support the growth of this companies quality department.
You will be responsible to ensure that continuous improvement is made in all Production MEQ Quality Deliverables (e.g.: RPPM, CPPM, IPPM, SPPM, Quality Costs, Customer Product Audits and Warranty / JD Power).
Role Description
- Ensure that customer and internally identified quality issues are resolved using the problem solving methods (8D Report, Problem Solving Document "PSD", PCAD, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.)
- Be competent in Quality Principles including Problem Resolution / Root Cause Analysis
- To carry out Internal & Supplier audits as required within the organisation
- Support Customer and Third-Party Audits
- Support all internal departments with quality related matters
- Read and understand/interpret engineering drawings
- Assure that all Quality activities are performed according BOS-, TS 16 949-, ISO 9000 standards and specific customer requirements
- Executes the Management Representative duties: ensures that BOS processes are implemented and maintained and any need for improvement and ensures the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the plant.
- Ensure response to customer issues in a timely manner, implement containment and champion problem solving
- Maintain local Quality System according to the requirements of BOS, TS 16 949, ISO 9000
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience working within Automotive Engineering
- Experience working within Quality Engineering roles
- Must have good communication skills
