  • Part time (4 days per week)
  • Location: The City
  • Salary: £45K FTE
  • Benefits include a generous non-contributory pension scheme

The Main Duties:

Maintaining financial records, preparing tax returns, and overseeing the financial health of the company. Preparing financial statements for review by the company's accountant.

  • Recording financial transactions

  • Maintaining ledgers

  • Handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling invoices and statements.

  • Managing bank transactions and reconciliations, preparing payment runs for authorisation

  • Payroll, PAYE and pension payments

  • Maintaining petty cash

  • Preparing information for auditors

  • Keeping an annual budget

  • Liaising with pension providers, payroll bureau, insurance providers as necessary.

Essential Skills and Qualifications Essential:

  • Minimum of 8+ years Bookkeeping experience
  • With some experience gained in Financial Services or banking, ideally in the City
  • Happy to work in a small organisation
  • Good Excel skills: to include VLOOK UP and pivot tables
  • Knowledge of accounting software ideally Quickbooks
  • Experienced in liaising with auditors
  • Happy to be office-based
