Venn Group is currently working with an NHS Trust in the heart of London, who are looking for experienced Supply Chain Officer's to join their Supply Chain team. This trust is one of the most complex in the UK, serving a large and diverse population, and you would join a team of hardworking workers with an incredibly important role in keeping the hospital providing it's many academically-led and specialist services with top-quality cate.
Location: Central London – Onsite
Interim – Initial 3 months
Rate: Hourly £14.10 Base Pay + £1.70 Holiday Pay (£15.80 all inclusive)
Hours: Full Time 37.5 Hrs
Job Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of the supply chain team providing a basic ordering, distribution and put away service to support divisions
- Maintaining a supportive relationship with all customer areas to ensure that stock levels are optimised
- Ensure that all activity complies with the requirements of the Trust's policies including infection control and health and safety
- To assist in department improvement and transformational activity
- Create and Maintain good communication and working relationship with Ward & Department Managers/Senior Sister/Matrons
- Ensure that all functions of the internal supply chain are completed
- Optimise inventory levels in any areas assigned to them to ensure an efficient and cost effective service for customers
- Maintain the highest standards of behaviour and professionalism with regards to the health and safety of themselves, their team and their locations
- Liaise with Procurement Department
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience working as a Supply Chain Officer/Logistics
- Clinical Experience – Has worked in Supply Chain/Materials Management for a hospital/clinical company
- Has previously liaised with stakeholders
- Hardworking with proven ability to maintain stock levels in fast paced environment
- Equivalent pass in Maths & English GCSE and Computer Literate
- Knowledge of Procurement, Supply Chain (inc. material management) methodologies and concepts (equivalent to NVQ level 3/Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Foundation stage or equivalent experience)
